Eurasian Patent Office Joined Hague System

The Eurasian Patent Office (EAPO) has joined the Geneva Act of the Hague Agreement for the international registration of industrial designs.

What does this mean for applicants?

• expansion of international protection for design solutions across a large region comprising 8 countries;
• simplification of the application examination procedure, which is carried out in a single regional office.

When will the system take effect for the EAPO?

• from October 10, 2026.
