Changes in the International Registration of Industrial designs

Changes in the International Registration of Industrial designs

01.07.26

On July 1, 2026, amendments to the Regulations Under the Geneva Act (1999) of the Hague Agreement will enter into force.

Thus, applicants will have the opportunity to:

  • record information about the creator of an industrial design in the International Register,
  • as well as update a previously recorded creator's name and/or address.

A dedicated new form (DM/10) has been created for these requests, and its use will be mandatory. Submissions can be made through the Hague Document Upload, accessible from the eHague interface.
The recording of these changes will be subject to fees:

  • 144 Swiss francs for one international registration, and
  • 72 Swiss francs for each additional international registration included in the same request.

The changes will be published in the International Designs Bulletin.
