Amendments to EAPC's Patent Regulations

On January 1, 2024, a number of amendments to the Patent Regulations to the EAPC related to inventions and industrial designs come into effect.
One of the most important amendments is an increase of the deadline for filing patent nullity actions under the administrative procedure (i. e. when a patent can be canceled in the territory of all state members) to 3 years.
For industrial designs, the examination check-list has been specified, and a mediation procedure has been introduced in case of disputes. The presence of third-party trademarks on images of Eurasian industrial designs is now allowed with the consent of the copyright holders of such trademarks.
