Russia-Belarus agreement on IP

The draft agreement between Russia and Belarus on cooperation in the field of intellectual property has been approved. The draft provides, in particular:
• cooperation of law enforcement agencies on detection, suppression and investigation of offenses;
• cooperation of customs authorities on protection of intellectual property rights and maintenance of national customs registers;
• exchange of information and experience in the field of copyright protection and enforcement, including on countering infringements on the Internet;
• cooperation in the implementation of IT for the protection of intellectual rights in the digital environment.
