Rights holders can conceal information about themselves in Rospatent's official publications

05.09.24

Starting September 30, 2024, intellectual property rights holders may request that their personal information not be published in Rospatent's official bulletin. This option will also be available to applicants for registration of such objects and parties to agreements on the disposal of exclusive rights. Rospatent will be required to comply with this request.

Applications can be submitted for the following objects:

inventions,
utility models,
industrial designs,
trademarks,
computer programs and databases,
topographies of integrated circuits.

This rule will be in effect until December 31, 2025. It is important to note that Rospatent's official bulletins are published on the website of the Federal Institute of Industrial Property and, for example, include names, addresses, and contact details of legal entities for trademarks.
