EAPO Patent Search Guidelines

The EAPO has adopted Guidelines for the Conduct of Patent Searches on invention applications. The Guidelines are intended primarily for the EAPO examiners, but are useful for applicants and their agents, as they describe the established approaches to conducting searches, assessing unity of invention and so on.
It is a reminder that in 2023 the EAPO approved Guidelines for the Examination of Inventions.
