Bioresource Center for Patent Deposit Purposes

The Russian Ministry of Justice has updated the Rules for Preparation, Filing, and Examination of applications for inventions. The list of institutions authorized to deposit microorganisms, plant or animal cell lines, consortia of strains, or strains included in a consortium now includes a specialized bioresource center established in accordance with federal law.
The new rules come into force on March 10, 2026.
