On October 5, 2015 the President of the Russian Federation signed the Federal Law No.275-FZ “On Amendments to the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition” and Certain Legislative Act of the Russian Federation”.
The Law stipulates a number of substantial amendments and new provisions. That is, for example, refusal to consider a company with a market share of less than 35% as a dominant one. The competition requirements for State procurement contracts are amended. The order of proceedings in competition offense cases as well as of imposition of administrative sanctions in these cases are changed. Moreover, the Law essentially specifies the unfair competition regulations defining particular forms of unfair competition and prohibitions thereon.
The Law will come into force on January 5, 2016, we will present more detailed review of its provisions by this time.
